How the time zone converter works
Pick a time in one city and see the matching local time everywhere else at once. It takes daylight saving time into account, so the results are right for the date you're planning.
How to use it
- Choose your starting city.
- Drag the slider to the time you have in mind.
- Read across each row to see that moment in every other city. Add or remove cities as you like.
What's the best time for a meeting across time zones?
Look for the hours where every row falls inside normal working time (roughly 9 AM–5 PM). Between Europe and the US East Coast that's usually the US morning; between the US and Asia there's often no overlap, so one side meets early or late.
Why do time differences change during the year?
Many countries move their clocks for daylight saving time, but not on the same dates. The US and Europe switch a few weeks apart, so for part of March and late October/November the gap between them is an hour smaller than usual. Countries near the equator, like Japan, India and Singapore, don't change at all.
What's the difference between UTC and GMT?
For everyday use they show the same time. UTC is the modern world standard that time zones are measured from; GMT is the time zone used in the UK during winter.
